The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for the operational control and overall management of teams of Industrial Services (IS) Operatives. Reporting to the General Manager (GM), this is a key and influential role which demands an effective approach to the management of five key areas: Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Performance, People, Assets and Vehicles, Budget and Project Execution.
Working in support of the GM, you will manage the IS team to carry out required operations with the aims of exceeding customer expectations and continually improving team output. Through close liaison with Company management and the customer you will prioritise your workload to meet current and upcoming demands ensuring operations run smoothly. You will be responsible for ensuring operational IS teams fully comply with legal, Company and customer HSEQ requirements.
The Commercial Sales Specialist role is an office-based B2B sales role with the aim of managing and expanding the client base for Augean’s Treatment & Transfer South Department. This is achieved by receiving & making telephone calls and emails from/to selected existing and prospective clients to identify & quote their requirements for hazardous waste collection, cleaning and removal services that can be subsequently accepted at the Augean Plymouth, Honiton or Avonmouth depots. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have opportunity to progress into a field sales or business development role after gaining an appropriate level of experience.
The role of the Industrial Services Mobile Operative is a rewarding role and very varied and the work ranges from unskilled to highly skilled: you could be involved in general site cleaning one day and a confined space tank clean with full breathing apparatus the next. You will operate in support of a variety of industries: you could be working at a cement works or an oil refinery one day and inside a sewage treatment plant the next. All IS Operatives are specially trained to carry out the various aspects of the role which are all conducted under strict health and safety rules following rigorous assessment of the potential risks involved. Work is usually carried out at the convenience of the customer, so there will be a requirement to travel and to work unsociable and often long hours to complete a job on schedule. There will be a requirement to pass security clearance to gain entry to certain work sites.
