The Industrial Services Contracts Manager is a key role responsible for the management of a team of Industrial Services (IS) Operatives working on client sites.

The post holder will act as line manager for the directly employed staff and the primary client contact. Responsible for successful delivery of planned support services over several sites, ensuring the highest regard for health and Safety and client satisfaction, delivering works and taking budgetary responsibility for contracts under their control.

This is key role for someone looking to develop into an Operations Manager, covering a regional brief. The post holder will need to be a positive engaging manager, leading by example, promoting good working practice by setting the highest personal standards in safety, attendance, behaviour, courtesy and professionalism.

You will operate in support of a variety of industries: you could be working at a cement works or an oil refinery one day and inside a sewage treatment plant or a Royal Navy vessel the next. All IS Operatives are specially trained to carry out the various aspects of the role which are all conducted under strict health and safety rules following rigorous assessment of the potential risks involved.

You will be working as part of a team carrying out various industrial cleaning tasks and site housekeeping tasks, including site clearance and spill response. This is a physical role involving manual handling, waste removal and working outdoors as well as in confined spaces.

The role is full time, 40 hours per week, with some overtime opportunities at weekends or evenings. Our Industrial Services Labourers are all specially trained to work in confined spaces, on energy recovery facilities & operating mobile plant & high pressure water jetting equipment.

You will be working as part of a shift support working with the Cemex shift teams

You will be predominantly loading bypass dust tankers and trailers and carrying out various industrial cleaning tasks including site clearance and spill response.

The Site Chemist (Transfer) is responsible for the safe running of the transfer station, managing the intakes and reception with a high degree of attention to safety, compliance, housekeeping, throughput and productivity.

To assist the Senior Site Chemist (Transfer) in the management of the operational process, maintaining and improve safety, environmental and quality standards.

You will be working as part of a small team within the Treatment Plant at SYLOC, receiving, processing and disposing of hazardous waste. The position is a split role, consisting of providing chemical guidance to the team and hands-on operation of the Treatment Plant.
