This is a new position, reporting to the General Manager for the Augean Treatment & Transfer South region of the company. You will take responsibility for key accounts while developing an external regional base and working on business development. The main objectives for the Business Development & Technical Manager are:

To effectively manage and develop contracts with key customers.

Develop the customer base of South IS whilst promoting the full range of Augean/FIS services throughout the SW region.
•
Design and deliver technical solutions for our customers including the creation/writing of proposals and task specific risk assessments relating to high pressure water jetting, vacuumation, confined space entry and rescue operations.
Business Development Managers (BDMs) operate as part of the Commercial Team which incorporates marketing, telesales, field sales and administration. The main objective for the BDM is field sales promoting the sale of the range of services offered by T&T South: tanker and packaged hazardous waste transfer, treatment and disposal plus JetVac and industrial services. This will incorporate sales/marketing activities to research and establish contacts to secure new business to help grow services whilst maintaining account management responsibilities to manage and develop the existing client database.
Reporting to the Commercial Head of Construction Wastes, the role is to drive business development and sales activities, to optimise the price and volume mix, for construction wastes (including contaminated soils, filter cakes and asbestos) and to manage and deliver strategic commercial projects. The role will involve extensive travelling throughput the UK.
You will be working as part of a team within the Treatment Plant, processing a wide range of liquid
and solid waste chemicals at the waste treatment facility. The position is a varied role, assisting the other members of the team in the general Plant operations and ensuring compliance with the site Permit. You will be required to work outdoors at the site as well integrate into the team of chemists and operators.

The role of the Industrial Services Mobile Operative is a rewarding role and very varied and the work ranges from unskilled to highly skilled: you could be involved in general site cleaning one day and a confined space tank clean with full breathing apparatus the next. You will operate in support of a variety of industries: you could be working at a cement works or an oil refinery one day and inside a sewage treatment plant the next. All IS Operatives are specially trained to carry out the various aspects of the role which are all conducted under strict health and safety rules following rigorous assessment of the potential risks involved. Work is usually carried out at the convenience of the customer, so there will be a requirement to travel and to work unsociable and often long hours to complete a job on schedule. There will be a requirement to pass security clearance to gain entry to certain work sites.
